| Bernd Sandner - Hand Hammered Bells for Brass Instruments | |
| My business was founded in December of 1990 for the purpose of producing high-quality bells for brass instruments. I received my training and practical experience in this field working for various instrument-making firms. | |

In my workshops,
we produce bells for all types of brass instruments. These can be made in
the following metal thicknesses: 0,35, 0,40,
0,45 , 0,50, 0,55, 0,60, 0,65 and 0,70 mm. Available alloys include: |
|
| Yellow Brass - 72% Copper und 28% Zinc | ||
| Gold Brass - 85% Copper und 15% Zinc | ||
| Red Brass - 90% Copper und 10% Zinc | ||
| Nickel silver - a Copper-Nickel-Alloy | ||
| We can also do special order work in Sterling silver | ||
| Each
of the various alloys used in the making of a bell has its own distinctive
effect on the tone colour of the finished instrument. In addition, the
material thickness, inner diameters, and whether the bell has a nickle
silver garland or a simple bead, also play an important role.
We make our bells using traditional methods: |

| Through an ongoing contact, and sharing of information with many instrument makers, both on Germany and in other countries, it soon became possible to develop an extremly high standard of quality in the work that we do, which has resulted in a high degree of customer satisfacion. | |
